Comfort Seat Upgrade in process

A Cycle Solutions Comfort Seat Upgrade, creates a seat that is tailored to provide you with the most comfortable motorcycle seat you've ever ridden.

Utilizing up to 6 different densities of visco-elastic conformal foams, each Comfort Seat Upgrade provides proper pelvic support as well as providing a seat that is temperature and pressure sensitive, to conform to your specific anatomy.

Your seat upgrade begins with the existing polyfoam under the rider, being removed all the way to the seat pan.  Irregularities in the seat pan will be filled to create a perfectly flat surface upon which your upgrade will be built.

Once leveled, multiple layers of conformal foams will be added and shaped to provide an optimal seating surface.  Multiple layers deal with spinal alignment, as well as relief from pressure on the pelvic bones (cause "hot spots"), and tail bone.

/files/Products and Services/Seat Images/GW-4.jpgFinal layers include additional padding in the backrest as needed, and additional relief for the tailbone and male anatomy regions of the body.  At this point the seat is ready to be reshaped back to it's original configuration.  Finally the seat will receive an over-wrap of thin upholsterer's foam and a layer of waterproofing before having the original cover reattached.

How's it Work?

So, what's a Comfort Seat Upgrade do for you, that a replacement seat or gel insert can't do?  Pressure mapping performed on a stock Harley Sportster seat, and then the same rider, pressure mapped on the same seat following a Comfort Seat Upgrade, shows the difference a Comfort Seat Upgrade can make in your ride.  To interpret the data, remember red is bad (areas of high pressure) and yellow, green, & blue are good.

How the Cell Mapping numbers compare

The five red-zone pressures, represent those pressures likely to cause "Hot Spots" for the rider.  The blue-zones are within the typical comfort zone.  Note that the upgraded seat reduces the red-zone pressures by over 15% overall and in the worst case zone (top line), the pressure is reduced from
almost 7% to less than 1/2 of 1%!

In addition to pressure relief, a Comfort Seat Upgrade also provides optimal spinal alignment in a overall seating surface that is designed to conform to your anatomy.   For more details, click on the picture above, and visit our parent companies web site for an explanation of how our engineering works.

Shipping Information

When you ship your seat to us, remember most shipping companies base their shipping rates on the size of the box, not just the weight of the box.  Therefore we suggest you use the smallest box possible to ship your seat.  Wrap the seat in a plastic bag and then wrap it in a layer of newsprint or packing paper to stop the seat from shifting in the box.  May we suggest you don't use packing pellets unless you have no other alternative, to isolate the seat in the box.  The pellets are a pain to work with and usually they are not a renewable resource like paper is.  Ship your seat using your favorite shipper to the address below.
